No One is better than Ron Paul
Of course No One is a better candidate than any of the jokers running for president. They are all politicians which by itself is enough to disqualify them but each candidate is uniquely unfit to be President. I will start with the darling of the Internet - Ron Paul
So what is wrong with Ron Paul? First of all he has two first names. And everyone knows you can’t trust anyone with two first names. Fortunately we haven’t had many presidents with two names. There were the
Adams’ but I have to question whether or not a first name with an s at the end actually qualifies as a first name. I know people named Adam but no one named Adams. Of course the Adams family was kooky, ooky mysterious and spooky. Fine presidents all. Then there was John Tyler but he wasn’t actually elected taking over after Harrison died of some disease - maybe viral pneumonia, who knows.
Now here’s where it gets spooky - Chester Arthur became President after James Garfield was killed. So maybe Paul should run for vice-president and become president after whoever is elected dies.
However the thing that bothers me most about Ron Paul is that he is from Texas. In the last 50 years we have had 2 presidents form Texas - LJB and GWB. (I’m not counting GHB as he is actually from Connecticut)
So what do these two fine upstanding presidents have in common - both are responsible for unpopular wars. LBJ had Vietnam, Bush has Iraq. Of course they are completely different - the Vietnam War was fought to keep the communists from destroying the American way of life and Iraq is being fought to keep the terrorists from destroying the American way of life.
But wait you say - Ron Paul is against war. So was George W. Bush - In the campaign, Bush criticized the Clinton administration policy in Somalia, where 18 Americans died in 1993 trying to sort out warring factions, and in the Balkans, where United States peacekeeping troops perform a variety of functions. Bush also said, “I don’t think our troops ought to be used for what’s called nation-building”
I don’t think it unusual a presidential hopeful would lie during the campaign. It’s happened.
You may believe Paul, many believed Bush. But two first names and being from Texas, that’s just too much to overcome. And don’t get me started on his stated goal of reforming the tax code. Good luck with that, every time someone ‘reforms’ the tax code I wind up paying more.
So if you want to pay more taxes and fight wars vote for Ron Paul. I’m voting for No One because No One will lower taxes, end the war and look out for the little guy (and girl).
