The Freedom Exchange

Many song titles and hooks are not concrete ideas or concepts like those discussed above. Antonyms are very often employed with great success, such as ?Sleeping single in a double bed?. Wordplay has brought us some of the most memorable hooks; country songs very often use them to great advantage. ?I gave her the ring, she gave me the finger? is one of my all time favorites. And if all else fails as a creative songwriter you are free to make words up. Like I did in this song:

Well a ding dang dodie and a woof woof woof
the frost is on the pine.
Momma?s in the kitchen doing the dishes
but it don?t make me no mind.

your songs about the tough life, songs that remind you of Steve Earle, Townes and those who have walked the walk down in Texas check out Ryan Bingham's debut "Mescalito".

He's just 25 but his story's a tough one.  The voice already world weary.

Cool, I like him. Music is getting more real agaiin, that even cooler. Did you see the Can You Duet show on CMT? The folks who won were really good, but certaintly not traditional country.

Listening to South Side of Heaven, man I wish I could sing like that. undecided
